Following the death of his father, the head of a family of small-time crooks decides to go straight
Based on the multi award-winning Finnish drama 'Easy Living'.
The father, Attila, leaves for work. He breaks into a flat and then rents it out as if he was an estate agent. Later, while “picking up” his wife’s birthday present by stealing a Mercedes, he is interrupted by a call from his mother – his father is dying. He hurries to the hospital, but the old man only wants to see his younger son and won’t even acknowledge Attila, whom he has always considered to be the black sheep of the family.
Afterwards, Attila takes the stolen car to his old friend, Endre Hollós, to get new documents for it. Hollós offers Attila a job to collect a truckload of contraband. Using his father’s death as an excuse, Attila turns the job down. As his father was honest and demanded the same from his sons, Attila’s conscience deeply disturbs him, and when he almost gets caught the next time he breaks into a flat, he comes to a decision, from now on he’s going straight.
