Afghanistan Unveiled


When Western forces brought down the Taliban in 2001, they claimed that part of their mission was to ‘help liberate the women of Afghanistan’ who had been refused basic human rights under that regime. <br/>

Now Pakistani journalist Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy travels right through the country to see how far they have kept to this promise. From hospitals and schools to life on the streets, what Sharmeen finds is a shocking story of neglect and continued injustice and of how the West has not kept its word.
