It’s bigger, it’s better and it’s back. An all new Catch Phrase returns to TV with an updated format, a brand new set, exciting 3D graphics and a dynamic new end game.
The hit format was a worldwide success which ran for 20 years in the UK and was a major success in the US before emigrating around the world: Australia, Denmark, Greece, Holland, Italy, Poland, Spain, Turkey and Vietnam.
The whole family can play. All you have to do is say what you see to reveal well-known set phrases.
HOW THE ROUNDS WORK
3 contestants and a big cash prize – which could reach £50,000 in the UK
ROUND 1 - ELIMINATION ROUND
3 players battle it out with their buzzers. Only 2 will make it to the next round. The fastest contestants to get 3 phrases right will continue playing. The third player will go home
ROUND 2 - CASH BUILDER ROUND
Each catchphrase is now worth £100. If the player doesn’t get it, his opponent will get a chance to guess
After each correct answer, they have the chance to play for the bonus catchphrase – hidden underneath 9 squares, and worth big money
THE SPOT PRIZE: When we hear this sound, it means you can win a prize on the spot
ROUND 3 - Catchphrase Connection
The stakes get higher, as BOTH the Catch Phrase AND the Bonus Catch Phrase are worth double the money
ROUND 4 - QUICK-FIRE CATCHPHRASE
The competition is fast and furious, With each phrase worth £500
There is a real opportunity here for the second player to catch up
The player that finishes this round with the most money goes through to the final round…
FINAL ROUND - SUPER CATCH PHRASE
The winning player now faces the super catchphrase pyramid.
This pyramid is made of 15 squares-each with a catchphrase behind them.
With 60 seconds on the clock, the player must find his way up the pyramid by answering catch phrases.... FAST!
The higher the level, the harder the phrases and the more money they can will
If they didn’t make it to the top, they take home the money they’ve won so far.
And if they make it to the top.... THEY WILL WIN £50 thousand pounds …. And an additional star prize if they get the star catch phrase
