Balls of Steel Series 1

Mark Dolan (The Richard Taylor Interviews) introduces a host of brand new comedic talent and challenges them to attempt a multitude of daring and sometimes dangerous tasks in order to find out who has the biggest Balls of Steel.

These audacious jokers, all of them new to Channel 4’s comedy stable, are set to amaze and amuse with their death-defying stunts, nerve-crunching hidden camera set-ups and prank-style interview techniques with celebrities and members of the public. It’s a comedy/entertainment show that has a whole range of different styles of humour in it – some very slapstick and base, and some of it a touch more intellectual and cerebral and subtle and layered. It involves twelve new comedy acts all doing different styles of comedy, some of it in the studio, some out and about on the street. But there’s one thing that all the performers have in common: In order to do what they’ve done, they have to have balls of steel. They have to be ludicrously brave, foolhardy, and have to show some contempt for their physical safety. Delight in Alex Zane’s unfair game-show tactics and cringe at Jason Attar as he plays "the annoying Devil". Feel Prichard and Prancho’s pain during their dangerous studio stunts or fear Thalia Zucchi, the bunny boiler - she may attempt to steal your lover. Admire or despise Olivia Lee, as she hand-delivers gifts of the most ’unusual’ kind to some of the UK’s finest celebrities. These are just a small selection of some of the pranksters whose goal is to win the cherished Balls of Steel trophy. Watch it, but please don’t follow their example!
