Place In France - Series 1, A

From sleepy Hampshire to even sleepier L’Ardeche, Southern France, journalist Nigel Farrell and his friend village postmaster Nippi Singh decide to find a place for family holidays and, in Nigel's case, a possible new start. After much searching they finally find a run-down, deserted farm-house which although over budget seems ideal. With mounting pressure as renovation costs escalate and the constant bickering between the two, viewers are thoroughly entertained as Farrell and Singh construct their new dream home.

Many dramas unfold as the astoundingly impractical Nigel and pedantic perfectionist Nippi get to know the locals with Nigel even finding a new romance with his estate agent, the beautiful Celine.
