The streets of London and Prague are the setting for this explosive, two-part political thriller.

With his Eastern European country on the verge of break-up, President Slajek sends his daughter Olga to London in the hope of enlisting the support of old friend and British intellectual, Michael Shanks. Meanwhile, a group of separatists decide to kidnap Olga, hoping the president will support partitioning the country.

However, things do not go to plan and the terrorists mistakenly kidnap Shanks’ daughter Anne. Faced with the dilemma of sticking to his beliefs or cooperating with the kidnappers, Shanks gives in and Anne is swapped for Olga, leaving the president to face the same terrible choice between family and ideology.
