A hilarious three part satire on the incestuous world of publicly subsidised experimental theatre
The Le Jeu theatre company can only qualify for an Arts Council grant if they cast a Scottish actor, make their show a bit Scottish and rehearse north of the border.
They manage to find Paisley Johnson, a Scottish Jazz singer, and two actors who have never performed before. With this done they get the company on the road and so begins the most miserable, ill-conceived, jealousy-ridden and sexually deviant tour in the history of fringe theatre.
Starring an ensemble cast of Britain’s top young comic actors, including BEN MILLER (Armstrong & Miller), PAUL KAYE (Dennis Pennis), JULIA DAVIES (Big Train, Blue Jam, Human Remains, Nighty Night), VICKI PEPPERDINE (Vanity Fair), JOANNA SCANLAN (Vanity Fair, The Thick Of It), ELAINE C. SMITH (Rab C Nesbitt).
