Big waistlines and big opinions
Enter the world of Supersized people! In this brand new series from the Channel Five (UK), we are taken into the world of the overweight, getting an insight into what it's like to live the life of a larger person.
Their weight affects the way they walk, interact, rest, play and the way they see the world. This programme is a chance to get to meet unique, large people with personalities to match…in some cases they don’t leave their home for months, some don’t have jobs and can’t function without assistance. Others have made a fortune running plus-size fashion brands, dating websites, specially catered holidays or ‘big’ events.
From Miss Plus Size competitions in NYC, to the “Big Mother House” in Baltimore, an inspirational fat camp in Devon, to the biggest coffins in the world in Indiana and the 57 stone Miss Fluff in North Carolina, each episode explores and reveals a new aspect of the SuperLarge world: Super Sized and Super Rich, Fat and In Love, Fat Chance to Work, 65 Stone and Trapped in My House, No Fatties Allowed.
With incredible access, we explore the reasons some of these people got to where they are now, while the obesity problem continues to get bigger.
